Amelanchier lamarckii - Juneberry

This deciduous shrub, more at home in gardens, can become established in woodland - growing up to 10m tall.

The leaves are light-green, mostly oblong and fine-toothed.

The white flowers have 5 narrow petals and give way to reddish cups in which the purplish-black fruits often fail to form.
