Cotoneaster species
There are scores of different species naturalised across Britain and over 40 are found in VC77.
To identify them you usually need leaves, flowers and berries.
This is a tall plant with pale pink flowers and a rose pink patch on each petal.
The leaves are pointed, shiny above with indented veins and white downy beneath.
The berries are ovoid and reddish orange.
