Petasites albus 13Apr2017 NS8248 MP
Shows P. albus leaves with P. hydridus as inset. These are not to scale.
Note the differences.
albus the lowest lobes may touch but there is no triangular sinus when looking down the stem from the tip of the leaf. The leaf has clearer teeth.
hybridus the leaf is larger, less circular and has fewer teeth except at the tip. If you look down the leaf from the tip there is a clear triangular sinus and the basal lobes often overlap a lot.
Petasites hybridus 3Apr2016 NS8248 MP

Petasites hybridus 14May2017 NS7672 PW
They have the largest, undivided leaf of any native plant.
